Shoe Makeovers & Vintage Scarves

Here at Beverly's there is nothing that we love more than crafting! Every month we have a new social crafting event. September was the month of shoe makeovers and vintage scarves!

The first how-to lets you take any pair of old shoes that need a little bit of pizzaz and make them into something new! Here are our example "before" shots.

Pale Gold Flats:

Hot Pink Heels:

Next, we used our Design Master spray paint, delicate enough for silk and even real flowers, to evenly coat the shoe all around. It is flexible and soft when dry so that you can wear it without worry of cracking, flaking, or caking! (You can find Design Master spray paint at your Rocklin Beverly's on aisle 20!)

Pale Gold Flats into Flirty Coral Flats!

Here you can see the final Garden Glam shoes done and ready to wear at our Social Crafting night!

Hot Pink Heels into Royal Purple Heels!

Of course some extra embellishment was needed. We used hot fix rhinestones to provide some spooky sparkle to the Royal Purple Heels. (You can find these rhinestones at your Rocklin Beverly's aisle 7B!)

Next we adhered the rhinestones to the shoes. These hot fix rhinestones use a heating tool and attachment that melts the adhesive on the back to adhere to clothing, however for the sake of time we ended up using hot glue. You can use fine tweezers to pick up the smaller rhinestones. We used a little bit of wax on the tip of a craft stick to help us hold these tiny treasures:

The result was a swirly spidery delight! Glitter decorative spiders can also be found at your Rocklin Beverly's with our seasonal decor. For the month of October they are even 40% off!

We finished off our swirly witch's shoe with some fabric paint in a dotted swirly design to match. (Find Scribbles fabric paint on aisle 7B at your Rocklin Beverly's!)

And voila! You have spooky shoe that would make even a witch's nose curl!

At our Social Crafting night we even made-over a pair of woven shoes. Here is the "before" in black:

Using the Design Master spray paint we evenly coated the whole shoe...

And here is the "after" result in white:

Ready to wear in a matter of minutes!

Michelle creatively laid out her flowers and butterflies on her pearl colored lace scarf:

Funky and fantastic!
